Salted Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche Blondies Recipe
After sampling dark chocolates from around the world I’ve become quite the dark chocolate fan. However, this is my first time using dark chocolate in a recipe. I was quite pleased with the results.
Salted Dark Chocolate Dulce de Leche Blondies
- 1 C unsalted sweet cream butter, melted
- 2 C light brown sugar, packed
- 2 large eggs
- 2 tsp pure vanilla extract
- 2 C flour
- 1 tsp kosher salt
- 2 C dark chocolate chunks
- 1 C chopped walnuts
- ½ C Dulce De Leche
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line a 9×9 baking dish with parchment paper and spray with pam baking spray
Using a medium bowl, whisk the flour and salt
Using a large bowl, beat the melted butter and brown sugar until combined and smooth
Beat in the eggs, one at a time
Beat in the vanilla until combined
Gradually beat in the dry ingredients until combined
Fold in 1 ¼ C of the chocolate chunks and the chopped walnuts
Scoop the batter into the baking dish
Scoop dollops of the Dulce De Leche onto the batter
Use a butter knife or sharp knife and swirl the Dulce De Leche
Sprinkle remaining chocolate chunks around the top of the batter
Bake for about 30-35 minutes or until the center seems to be set and the cookie bar is a slight golden brown
Allow to cool completely before cutting into bars.
