Texas Fudge Pie
Do you know what’s better than fudge pie? It’s Texas fudge pie because it’s bigger and better, of course!
Texas Fudge Pie Recipe
Makes 1 – 9″ pie
Ingredients:
1 – 9 inch deep dish premade pie shell
1 12oz jar of Smuckers Hot Fudge Sauce
3 large eggs
¼ C light brown sugar
¼ C heavy whipping cream
½ tsp pure vanilla extract
1 tsp kosher salt
3 C chopped pecans
⅔ C mini chocolate chips
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees and place the pie shell onto a foil-lined cookie sheet (to protect the pan in case of overflow)
Remove the lid and film from the hot fudge and place into the microwave for 40 seconds Pour into a large bowl
Whisk in the eggs, brown sugar, heavy whipping cream, vanilla, and salt until combined and smooth
Fold in the mini chocolate chips and ⅓ pecans
Pour the mixture into the pie shell and top with remaining pecans
Bake in the oven for 40-45 minutes or until the center is set
Allow to cool completely before serving with a glass of milk and vanilla ice cream!
